Planning Requirements
The Joint Plans Committee serves as an advisory body to the residents of Parktown. We recommend to anyone who is thinking of developing their property to review the checklist for development.
The JPC doesn’t have the authority to approve plans; we are asked by the City Council and the Provincial Heritage Resources Authority (PHRA) to comment on them. It is true, however, that these authorities do seem to put a great deal of store by the Committee’s comments, which are always based on thorough consideration by our professional and highly experienced team.
Together with the Westcliff Residents’ Association, the Parktown Westcliff Heritage Trust, and, to a lesser extent, the Parkview Residents’ Association, the Parktown Association’s committee members meet twice a month late on a Friday afternoon.
